As spring rolls around, that means one thing for the Penn State Rugby Club: the spring season and national playoffs for your Nittany Lion men’s squad! As the kickoff for the men’s season approaches March 16, Head Coach Justin Hundley has his athletes ready for what the season and spring playoffs have in store for them.

Women's Rugby Helping to Tackle Pediatric Cancer
Each year, Penn Staters come together in the fight against pediatric cancer, raising funds and support and dancing in Penn State THON’s 46-hour dance marathon, knowing that “one day we will dance in celebration, until then, we will dance for a cure.”
And while that meaningful slogan, well-known by any involved in THON, may be true – that the ultimate celebration will come when a cure for pediatric cancer is found – many, including members of the Penn State women’s rugby team, had reason to dance in celebration on February 17 when the THON 2019 fundraising total was announced at $10,621,683.76.
Another Penn State Rugby season has come and gone — and the head coaches of both PSU Men’s and Women’s Rugby are reflecting on the season.
Justin Hundley, the Head Coach for Men’s Rugby, is proud of his team’s growth this fall.
“I felt that we grew as a team off the field and on it,” he said. “We learned a lot from all the matches [and] we got a chance to see some of the young players really contribute at all levels…it’s really fun to see the level of competition happening in practice every day."
