USA U20s Laura LaVigne

My name is Laura LaVigne, and I am currently a sophomore at Penn State working towards dual degrees in criminology and psychology. This is my fifth year playing rugby, starting as a sophomore at Orchard Park High school, and I am a tighthead prop. The weekend of February 14-17, my teammates Camile White, Natalie Bjorklund, and I attended the USA Rugby U20 All-American camp in Marietta, Georgia at Life University. Being a part of Penn State has taught me to push myself past my limits and further than I ever thought I could.

2020 Spring Preview - Men

The Spring Season is underway, and it is a busy time for the team. We have been in a good pre-season training regimen since returning from Winter Break as we prepare for our first contest; 21 March at Army. We will host our annual Winter Clinic 22-23 February and members of the team will take part in THON that weekend as we show our support for Logan and the rest of the families in their battles with Childhood Cancer.

We are very excited to welcome Luke Lewis to town. Luke joins us from Florida where he recently completed his Masters in Exercise Science at FAU. Luke hails from Wales and spent time as a Regional Rugby Development Officer while there. After moving to America Luke has been involved with American Top Team (MMA and BJJ gym and team), The Dragons Lair (Performance Gym training pro-athletes and 7x Mr. Olympia Flex Lewis) and Team Corbs (Alex Corbisiero’s rugby consultancy business). Not only does Luke bring a wealth of knowledge and experience with Rugby, but his background in Strength and Conditioning is a huge added value to the teams.
